Home made Hummus:

  • 2 cups of cooked hummus seeds (recommended breeds “Hadas/Yarden/Bulgarian”)

  • 1 cup raw Tahini “Dido Tahini”

  • 3 spoons olive oil

  • 1 fresh crushed garlic

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • 5 spoons of lemon juice (freshly made) 

  • ½ cup cold water

Insert all the ingredients to the food processor by recommended order and start grinding, stop

after a couple of minutes and swipe the edges of your food processor for access mass, back to

grinding until you receive a solid and smooth texture.

homemade Tahini paste:

  • 1 cup raw Dido Tahini

  • 1 cup of cold water

  • 1 tablespoon of salt

  • 5 spoons fresh squeezed lemon juice.

  • 1 crushed garlic clove

  • 1 spoon of chopped parsley

Inside a bowl or a food processor insert Water, salt, lemon, garlic and start mixing, gradually add Tahini until you receive a rich and smooth paste.

homemade Tahini cookies:

  • 200gr melted butter

  • ¾ sugar cup

  • 3 cups of sifted self raising flour.

  • ½ spoon baking powder.

  • 1 full cup of Dido Tahini

  • Decorations (optional) sliced white almonds *

In a bowl, mix Tahini, sugar and melted butter, slowly add flour while mixing until you receive a soft texture mix.

On a greased baking paper roll out the dough to a height of 1-1.5 cm, cut to squares and press an almond in the middle of each square.

Bake for 20 minutes on 170* until cookies are slightly golden, cool down for 20 minutes in room temperature.
